Baby BIRDS!

So the other day I was fiddling around underneath our porch when I noticed a BIRD NEST on top of a ladder under there!  I was like:

And today, I decided to set up our camera next to the nest, to see what we could capture.

RESULT!:

Lousy quality, but you get the idea.  The mommy bird seems to feed her babies at least once about every 5 minutes.  Squee!  XD  I've seen her flying around the porch, and I think she's one of these:

A Tufted Titmouse (who makes up these wacko names, anyway?  Probably the same people who make up those weird paint color names -- 'Brushed Fur'?  'Mom's Love'?...sheesh)!

Anyway, today is actually mine & Jamie's 13th wedding anniversary.  And along the same lines as birds, guess what he just so happened to yank out of the trash for me as a present?

Why, this totally awesome decorative heavy wrought-iron birdcage, that's what!  And even though it was salvaged from the dump, I seriously really do love it!  (Don't worry...I totally disinfected it).  ;)  It somehow managed to miraculously survive the crusher inside of Jamie's garbage truck all day long, only to pop out pretty much unscathed at the end of the day, much to Jamie's surprise and delight (and mine)!  I can't wait to figure out how I'm gonna decorate with it!  WHEE!!!

And if you'd told me exactly 13 years ago to this day that I'd be a mom, telling my daughter to "GET THAT SLICE OF BALONEY OFF YOUR FACE; IT'S GONNA GIVE YOU ZITS!", I would've never believed it...!  LOL!
