Flea Market Adventures

When I woke up this morning, I took a wild-hair notion to go to the flea market.  So me and Jamie and Lilly all piled up in the car and went.  After we got there and began browsing through the stalls, I noticed that there were lots of crazy random items, so I whipped out my cell phone & began snapping pictures of all the things that made me go 'hmm'.  So here we go.

First, I ran across a somehow appropriately buck-naked 'Harley' Barbie:

Next, I spotted some weird picture of a mouse-hole in a wall, with a mousetrap sitting outside of it, but instead of there being cheese on the mousetrap, it had a miniature cup of coffee on it instead:
What?!?

Then I turned around and saw an old, intriguing paper bag, which contained evidence of some unknown crime from years ago:

Spellbound, I peeked inside to see if anything was in it.  THERE WAS!  It was an old necktie that had been cut sharply in two. FASCINATING.  I wish I knew more!!!  What happened to Mr. John E. Felth?  Somebody get on that, stat!

Next, I was creeped out by this freaky old clown needlepoint work:
'MOM'?  Yuck.  *shudder*

And WTH is this...I don't even...WHAT?!?
O__o

Next up on the agenda, death!:
The sign on the outside of this stall (positioned at the end of the casket) said that they're "always diggin' up deals"!  O__o

And when I turned around, the 'death' theme continued with this clever, handy-dandy salt & pepper shaker-holder:
You like-a da peppah?

Unfortunately, that's the extent of my wacko flea market finds.  Our trip got cut a little bit short when we moseyed up a little bit further and found a nice older couple with a bunch of baby bunnies, and I fell in love.
A quick $5 exchange later, and we were trucking our very own precious baby bunny home, ironically in a cardboard Burnett's Vodka box.  LOL!
ZOMG SOOOOOO CUUUUUTE!!1!!

As we were about to leave, we ran across a random chicken:
And why did it cross the road, you ask?
To prove to the possum that it could be done, of course!  Ha!  :/
Bock-Bock!  :)

So then we drove directly to Walmart to purchase a large clear plastic bin, some wood chips, bunny pellet-food & a head of cabbage.  We already had carrots.  ;)

When we got home and introduced the bunny to our cat, Domino, we all expected it to be a flaming disaster, but much to our surprise, Domino and the bunny are getting along famously!  They are curious of each other, and like to hang out near each other.
Hmmm...friend?  Or food?

Domino even sampled some of the bunny's pellet-food several times.  Weird!  I guess Domino just wanted to be sure that the bunny's kibble wasn't superior to her own kibble!  :)

We don't know if the bunny is male or female yet (it's only 8 weeks old, and apparently hard to tell at that age).  It's not supposed to get much bigger.  We don't really know what to name it yet, but Lilly said that if it's a girl, she wants to name it Daisy, and if it's a boy, she wants to name it Bugs (get it -- Bugs Bunny -- hee hee)  :/  Right now, we're just calling it (what else but) Bun-Bun.  Which will probably stick.

The bunny likes to hop around on a big quilt we have spread out in the living room floor, eat its food-pellets, drink its water, and hide under the coffee table, between getting held and petted.  It's sooooo cute!

If you had told me when I woke up this morning that in a few hours, I'd be the proud owner of a baby bunny, I would've never believed it!  Whee!  :D

BTW it just pee'd under the coffee table and did some pebbles on the quilt.  LOL!  :/
